Renatus Töpke lebt in Wiesbaden und gelangte über Schülerzeitung, Skateshop, Bankausbildung und Kinovorführerjob zum Film. Er arbeitete zehn Jahre als Dolly Grip und dann als Produzent und Regisseur von diversen Werbefilmen. Als Drehbuchautor schrieb er Serienepisoden und Filme.
